Meet Rodin — Designer, Beta Tester & the Other Half of Layouts by Lenny

My name is Rodin, and I'm the other half of this two-person team. I'm not a programmer, so I take no part in any of the back-end processes. I mainly help with the design aspects, though the actual layout of the planner itself is entirely done by my mom, because it's very different from dragging around items in Photoshop… You need actual coding knowledge. I just pitch in to adjust colors, margins, opacity. The fine-tuning, essentially.

Apart from that, I create the product pictures you see on Etsy and the Layouts by Lenny website. And I beta test the planners in daily use. I ensure that the quality is consistent and give suggestions where necessary. It's good to have a second pair of eyes; I can comment on what's missing and what feels a little off.

My mom and I have been working together for a long time on several projects, though none of them have captured my interest like this one. I've been looking for a good digital planner for a long time, as I use my iPad every single day and carry it around with me wherever I go.

Outside of planning, I enjoy drawing and writing, both of which I do on the iPad. I love the feeling of writing, but hate the limitations and hassle of paper. So, this is the perfect solution for me. I just hadn't found a planner to my liking yet, so I was very happy to hear that my mom had started working on one. And this way, we can cater it perfectly to both of our wants and needs.
